Myrna Litt’s 11/17/09 Photo Report
Our own Myrna Litt broke a personal record yesterday by taking well over a hundred amazing photos of the latest happenings at the Disneyland Resort. Let’s take a look at her spectacular photos:
The holidays are in full swing as soon as you get inside Disneyland Park
The balloons are made up of poinsettias
Pinocchio is a relatively rare character to see out doing meet ‘n greets now-a-days
The beautiful Main Street Christmas tree
Garland all up and down Main Street
Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle
Now for some pictures of Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee
“Going down the bayou…”
After circling around the Rivers of America, the performers exit the Mark Twain and proceed back through New Orleans Square
Louis and Dr. Facilier don’t follow the rest of the procession. They exit out of the park by the River Belle Terrace
Despite rumors that Iridessa would be leaving Pixie Hollow, she’s still there (rotating with the other Fairies of course)
What a Tink pose!
Various props inspired by “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure”
The holiday wreaths at Small World Mall are really cool
Just look at those details!
Holiday decorations on the It’s a Small World facade
Even the control booths get decked out
Now for a look at It’s a Small World Holiday itself
This year is the first time It’s a Small World Holiday features the Disney characters
I was extremely saddened to see that (what I think was the most impressive decoration in the whole ride) got minimized from what it used to be. Click HERE to see what this looked like in years past
Santa seen flying over the Hollywood Bowl in the America room
Dreamcatchers dangle over the wild west part of the room
The finale room is beautiful during the holiday overlay
A cool little detail
Donald Duck in his Christmas attire
Now over to Disney’s California Adventure for a look at World of Color construction
There were scuba divers working in the lagoon
These dome structures were raised
New palm trees have been installed in Paradise Park
Santa Clause is now doing meet ‘n greets in Paradise Pier next to the Christmas tree
Myrna said he was a lot of fun to meet
Plants surrounding Santa’s Seaside Pavilion
The Hollywood Pictures Backlot elephants “hold up” Christmas wreaths
Goofy in his DCA Christmas outfit
Christmas lights on the Golden Gate Bridge
Now moving back over to Disneyland
Here are some shots of Disneyland’s amazing parade for the holiday season, A Christmas Fantasy
The Toy Soldiers are a nearly 50 year tradition in Disneyland’s Christmas parades
Here comes Mrs. Clause’s Mailroom
New this year are sleds carrying Winnie the Pooh, Tiger, and Eeyore (who is at the back of the Winter Wonderland section pulling along his broken sled)
The first of two rolling Christmas trees in the parade
I like the snowman with the Disney D on his hat
Clarabelle Cow and the ginger-bread men lead off the Candy Shop section
Awww…
Surprisingly, after all these years, Max is still in the parade
The Candlelight Christmas Ball section is up next, kicked off by the hilarious Ugly Stepsisters
It’s nice to have the Princesses back in a Disneyland parade
Next up is Santa’s Toyland
The Seven Dwarfs kick off Santa’s big finale
The second rolling Christmas tree
Welcome to the North Pole!
The beautiful spectacle that is Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle
And we’ll end this photo report with some pictures of the Believe in Holiday Magic fireworks spectacular
Thanks for the awesome photo report Myrna!
