Luke Manning’s 10/12/09 Photo Report
I visited the Disneyland Resort yesterday afternoon for my brother’s birthday, and managed to take a few newsworthy photos to share with everyone:
A “Princess and the Frog” billboard on one of the Hollywood Pictures Backlot buildings
Stage 17 has billboards for ABC’s “Flash Forward” and the Blu-ray release of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”
This promotion allows you to get a free child ticket to see “The Princess and the Frog” when an adult presents their paid admission ticket or Annual Pass at a select merchandise location. The child ticket will be valid only when an adult purchases an adult ticket to see the movie from December 11th through December 31st
Welcome to Disneyland!
Dark clouds loomed over the park
Those dark clouds set the tone pretty well for Halloween Time
These ducks seem a little too big for Pixie Hollow 🙂
Iridessa’s cold weather costume
And Tinker Bell’s cold weather costume
When I walked by the Villains meet ‘n greet area this trip there were actually Villains there
Work continues on Casey Jr. and Storybook Land
Now heading back down Main Street
We’ll be back at Disneyland later
Meanwhile over at Disney’s California Adventure, Snow White is still doing meet ‘n greets every day in Hollywood Pictures Backlot
Cinderella heading out of the park after performing in Drawn to the Magic and doing meet ‘n greets
Dale, Goofy, and Minnie together doing meet ‘n greets in Candy Corn Acres
The backside of candy corn!
The Gourmet Coffee ODV cart in Paradise Park is packed in pretty tight
Laod Bhang’s Pin Traders is back after being gone since the construction in Paradise Park started
Laod Bhang’s features a nice and unique version of the Disney Pin Trading logo
Construction on the new monument structure in Paradise Park seems to finally be coming along
A look at construction on World of Color
Paradise Park is slowly getting close to completion
A lot of new stuff has been installed all through-out the lagoon and the viewing area
The pin cart that replaced Laod Bhang’s has in turn been removed. The face painting area that shared the space has been expanded
Back to World of Color construction
The process of re-filling the lagoon supposedly started today
The Paradise Pier sign and sunburst as seen from outside the restrooms behind King Triton’s Carousel
Here you can see how the DCA parade route differs at the moment
A new temporary Disney Vacation Club Membership Information Center
Now back over to Disneyland
These strips of tape along the parade route mark where the floats in “Celebrate! A Street Party” will stop
Long waits for Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy around 5pm
A slightly shorter wait for Haunted Mansion Holiday than what the Times Board said, but the Fastpass return was about 4hrs away (this was around 6pm)
Testing for and people waiting for Fantasmic even before 6pm!
As “Celebrate! A Street Party” will soon be going away either permanently or just for A Christmas Fantasy Parade’s seasonal run, I thought a few pictures might be in order
These pictures also show how much cooler the parade is at night
“Start Pumpin up the Party now!”
“I wanna walk like you”
“I saw her dancing there by the record machine”
“CONGA!”
Even the bikes have cool lighting
I guess I couldn’t stop the beat…
“In everything you, Celebrate You!”
Edelweiss Snacks was open when I walked by this trip
A Disney Fairies poster for sale at the Disneyana Store
The Gingerbread-man is the only 9″ Vinylmation still available from Holiday Series #1
Unfortunately it is now time to head out of Disneyland
A lamp-post outside The Disney Gallery advertises it
The entrance to the Gallery
The Fab 5 Mickey pumpkins at night
The Mickey and Friends Halloween Time billboards
And although it’s a little dark, here’s one of the two Halloween displays along the Mickey and Friends tram route
I hope you all enjoyed my report!
