Farming Corn Dogs

According to D23:

Bountiful Valley Farmer’s Market in Disney’s California Adventure Park will begin serving corn dogs on June 1 due to the temporary closure of Corn Dog Castle to make way for the upcoming attraction based on the movie The Little Mermaid.

New DCA Refurb Project Dates

The DCA Project Tracker has some new information on upcoming refurbishments at Disney’s California Adventure:

  • Construction walls will go up around Golden Dreams on May 26th, as work finally begins on The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Adventure. On June 1st, those walls will spread down to Souvenir 66, Corn Dog Castle, and Dinosaur Jack’s Sunglass Shack, the last of which closes on May 26th and will become an extended queue for Goofy’s Sky School.
  • After the Orange Stinger closes for its refurbishment on July 27th, the next re-do will be for Mulholland Madness, which is scheduled to close in January 2010. Also scheduled for January 2010 is work finally beginning on Buena Vista Street.

It seems to be an hour for refurbishment news. This just in, the Corn Dog Castle refurb that was planned for 5/5/08-5/6/08, has been moved to 5/12/08-5/22/08. Which does mean it has been extended quite a bit! It is probably just routine maintenance though…

Refurb Update

We’ve got one addition to & one removal off of the Attraction Refurbishments list. The Corn Dog Castle restaurant in Disney’s California Adventure will be closed for 2 days on May 5th & 6th. And the planned Gadget’s Go-Coaster refurbishment that was to of lasted from April 28th to May 22nd has been completely removed off the list.

A new banner up at the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure


One of the counters & some seating at the Bengal Barbecue are behind walls


Apparently this is new wood for the Pacific Wharf Bridge


One of the shop windows in Downtown Disney now displays Disney’s Fairytale Weddings


It’s Tough to be a Bug is closed until May 23rd


And Corn Dog Castle is closed until May 22nd


Finally, it seems the Carnation Cafe restrooms are getting some work done
