Brandon Struve’s 11/9/09 Tomorrowland Update
WDWNT Reporter Brandon Struve was visiting the Magic Kingdom today when he was surprised to see that the walls around the Space Mountain area had finally come down:
Guests can now walk up to the newly paved area
The former Skyway building has also re-opened as a restroom facility

From aboard the TTA, we can see a new monitor and spacecraft in one portion of the Space Mountain exit
Most of the lighting hasn’t been turned on yet
New warning signs
The large “storm doors” are still in place at the entrance with an additional sign

Soft-openings are expected to take place any day now, earlier than the official November 22nd opening date
It appears the astronauts will not be returning
The rocket vehicles have a new silver and beige color scheme
Another look at the STARPORT Seven-Five sign, a name you will see throughout the updated attraction
A new High Definition projection system was tested in the main portion of the attraction earlier in the day
