Luke Manning’s 10/3/09 Photo Report

I visited the Disneyland Resort yesterday to check out all of the new Halloween offerings, as well as the newly re-opened Disney Gallery. Here is my photo report:

The Fab 5 pumpkins are once again on the turnstiles this year

The “What Will You Celebrate?” Mickey floral has received some orange, yellow, and red colors for Halloween Time

Halloween colors abound on Main Street USA

Now for a quick look at Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy

This was the line to get a Fastpass for Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy!

“Hidden” speakers for the nighttime projections and effects on Space Mountain

Looks like everything got a fresh paint-job

The Stand-by line got as long as 95 minutes at some points in the day!

Signs warning guests of Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy’s frighten factor are all through-out the queue for the attraction

Overall, I thought the overlay was great; the music worked really well, as did the effects. My only complaint is that the effects did make the mountain a little bright, and the effects clearly were projections

The three-dimensional Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port sign is back

“Nightmare Before Christmas” merchandise at the cart outside Haunted Mansion Holiday

Jack Skellington and Sally are out doing meet ‘n greets once again this year. These characters are just amazing, really close to the film, and they have a good length conversation with everyone

The new Villains meet ‘n greet area before it opened for the day

The Enchanted Cottage at the Princess Fantasy Faire remains closed through November 17th

They’re completely re-building the restaurant

I caught a set of the Pearly Band featuring Mary Poppins

After the show, some guests were following Mary Poppins for autographs as she was heading out of the park

We’ll head back to Disneyland later, but now let’s pop on over to Disney’s California Adventure

In the Esplanade, you have the chance to win your own 2010 Honda INSiGHT EX Hybrid (obviously with-out the “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” covering 😉 )

The CALIFORNIA letters haven’t been changed over to candy corn this year

Happy Halloween Disney’s California Adventure!
